Three hundred computer cabinets, 9,600 Nvidia GPUs and a price of 59.7 million USD (about 1,550 billion VND). What's even more unbelievable is that the overnight delivery option is recorded for a fee of only 50 USD, equivalent to about 1.3 million VND.

An item worth nearly 60 million USD rarely appears on eBay, even more rarely when it is an entire cluster of AI computers. At the end of October, American technology equipment company Core 4 Solutions posted for sale a system of 300 used computer cabinets. Notably, besides the asking price of 59.7 million USD, the ad also shows an overnight shipping option for only 50 USD.

The size of the shipment is at 300 configured cabinets. Each cabinet has four compute nodes and three management nodes. Within each compute node are eight Nvidia A100 40 GB SXM4 GPUs, two 64-core AMD EPYC Rome processors, and 1 TB of DDR4 RAM. The seller also lists the Nvidia ConnectX-6 networking device, FPGA, slots for NVMe drives and power supply.

From the configuration of one node, it is possible to calculate the entire system consisting of 1,200 compute nodes and 9,600 A100 GPUs. Four compute nodes in each cabinet use eight CPUs; three management nodes use an additional six CPUs. Thus, one cabinet has 14 processors and the cluster has 4,200 AMD EPYC processors. With 64 cores per CPU, Tom's Hardware calculates the total number of processing cores to reach 268,800. The RAM capacity of the compute and management nodes combined is approximately 1.4 petabytes.

Core 4 Solutions said the system was removed from a large-scale cloud computing environment and the compute cabinets remained operational. However, this is a used device, not a new supercomputer in the box. Buyers of this scale will need to check the condition of the hardware, connectivity between cabinets and management software before being able to put the system into service.

The A100 GPUs belong to Nvidia's Ampere architecture, while EPYC Rome is AMD's older generation server CPU line. Both have had successors, but that doesn't make them any less valuable. Tasks such as machine learning, AI model operations, and scientific computing can still take advantage of the system's capabilities. The attraction for a potential buyer is having immediate access to a large amount of hardware of the same type, instead of having to assemble equipment from multiple sources.

The asking price is 59.7 million USD, equivalent to 199,000 USD per cabinet if divided equally among 300 cabinets. Tom's Hardware gives a rough estimate that the GPU alone in the system is worth about 24 million USD, the CPU about 3 million USD and RAM about 1.1 million USD. The total of three groups of components is 28.1 million USD, not including computer cabinets, network equipment, power supplies and other components.

Shipping fees are also the details that make the ad go viral. The eBay page shows the option for direct pickup and free standard FedEx Ground delivery to a US address. There is also the option of two-day delivery for $25 and overnight delivery for $50. If converted according to the reference level of 26,000 VND/USD, 50 USD is about 1.3 million VND.

The listing on eBay has now ended: the seller closed the listing on October 28, 2026 because the item is no longer available. This site does not confirm a buyer or a completed transaction.
