Binance co-founder asked the American billionaire to stop mocking the exchange and "support a little", and reminded that Binance holds shares worth more than 1 billion USD in SpaceX.

Binance co-founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) on October 30 publicly asked Elon Musk to stop "trolling" the company, after the SpaceX and Tesla CEO posted a series of emoticons that seemed to mock the cyber attack on the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange.

Binance was hacked with a loss of 6.3 billion USD at the end of October 29. As the news spread, Musk posted many emoticons on social network X, from laughing loudly to grimacing.

In response, CZ reminded Musk about the beneficial relationship between the two sides. According to him, Binance's stake in SpaceX, stemming from its previous investment in Twitter, is now worth more than $1 billion. This number is only a very small fraction of SpaceX's valuation of about $2,000 billion.

"Elon, I respect you very much, but now is not the time to troll. Please stop," CZ wrote on X at 9:19 am (Eastern US time). "Our SPCX shares (from your $500 million investment in the Twitter acquisition) are now worth over a billion dollars. Please give us a little support. Thank you!"

CZ's post attracted 27.4 thousand likes and 3.8 thousand replies at the time the article was posted.

This is not the first time CZ and Musk have attacked each other online. In November 2021, Binance temporarily stopped withdrawing Dogecoin due to a wallet error, and Musk called this move "shady". At that time, CZ responded by mentioning Tesla's large recall of nearly 12,000 vehicles in the US due to software and hardware errors.
