Mercedes-Benz Vietnam has just officially introduced the CLA 200 electric, a pure electric sedan with a sporty and youthful style. The car has a recommended retail price of 1,590,000,000 VND. This is the pure electric representative in the group of 5 new electrified car models that MBV launched at the same time.

CLA 200 electric launched on October 29, 2026 at "The Icons, Electrified" exhibition at Thu Thiem Riverstage, Thu Thiem Riverfront Park, City. Ho Chi Minh City, and is called the focus of the event by the company. The exhibition is open for free from October 30 to November 1, 2026, from 9am to 9pm every day; Visitors can directly test drive the pure electric CLA with the GLC 350 e and E 350 e. In the international market, on January 9, 2026, the new CLA line was honored as Car of the Year 2026 in Brussels, Belgium, with 320 points from the voting council.

Appearance

CLA 200 electric has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,735 x 1,848 x 1,459 mm, wheelbase of 2,790 mm, weight of 1,985 kg. The most prominent identification point is on the front: this surface integrates 142 glowing three-pointed star patterns, accompanied by a welcome effect every time the car is locked or unlocked. The center logo also partially glows, creating a very unique "face" for this electric car model.

The car is equipped with the standard AMG Line exterior package, including an AMG front bumper with chrome-plated spoiler, gloss black painted side skirts and a rear bumper with details simulating a diffuser. The 19-inch 5-spoke dual-spoke AMG wheels are optimized for aerodynamics, hidden door handles help make the car's body more seamless, electrically adjustable and folding rearview mirrors, and underneath are welcome light mats with star motifs.

Behind, the LED taillight strip connects the two light clusters, combining with the front of the car to turn the light into the identifying mark of the CLA 200 electric.

Customers have 6 paint color options including Polar White, Aqua-mint Blue, Jet Black, Cosmic Black, Sheer Blue and High-tech Silver.

Interior

Inside, the CLA 200 electric uses a 10.25-inch LCD dashboard and MBUX Superscreen cluster including a 14-inch central touch screen and a separate 14-inch touch screen for the front passenger. The person sitting in the passenger seat therefore has their own entertainment space. The car has an additional virtual assistant MBUX Virtual Assistant with online voice control, Head-up Display and selfie camera, video recording in the car.

The MBUX Navigation Plus system integrates Vietnam maps for a period of 7 years, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly. The USB Plus package has 4 USB-C ports for fast charging up to 100 W, and the front seats have wireless charging.

ARTICO leather seats combined with MICROCUT microfiber, available in two color options: Black or Black/White. AMG Line Sports Seat front seats have one-piece headrests, contrasting red stitching, electric adjustment, heating and 4-way lumbar support; The front seats and rearview mirrors have 3-position memory. Nappa leather steering wheel, bright carbon-textured aluminum trim, Panoramic sunroof, THERMOTRONIC 2-zone air conditioning and 64-color border lights with AMG Racing Yellow and Racing Orange themes complete the cabin.

The CLA 200 electric uses a rear-mounted electric motor, rear-wheel drive, maximum power of 165 kW (224 horsepower) and torque of 335 Nm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 210 km/h. Comfort suspension system, Direct-Steer steering system and DYNAMIC SELECT with many operating modes are standard equipment. The announced average electricity consumption is 109 Wh/km according to the measurement method for the Vietnamese market.

Battery & charger

The car uses a 58 kWh lithium-ion battery on 800V architecture, giving a travel distance of 459-542 km according to WLTP standards. With an 800V compatible DC fast charging station, the maximum charging capacity reaches 200 kW and the charging time from 10 to 80% is about 20 minutes. If the station is only compatible with the 400V system, the DC power is limited to 100 kW and the corresponding time is about 40-45 minutes.

With AC charging, the car supports 11 kW of 3-phase electricity, charging 0-100% in about 6.5 hours. In case only 1-phase power can be used, the maximum capacity is limited to 7.4 kW and the full charging time is about 9.25 hours. The vehicle comes with a 5m Mode 3 charging cable for wallboxes or public charging stations, and a heat pump to support energy optimization.

Safety & Convenience

A practical point is the front trunk with a maximum capacity of 101 liters, complementing the rear luggage compartment. The rear trunk opens and closes electrically, the car has KEYLESS-GO and HANDS-FREE ACCESS.

Regarding safety, MULTIBEAM LED lights have cornering lighting, ULTRA RANGE Highbeam and automatic phase/beam adjustment. The MB.DRIVE package includes DISTRONIC, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, active braking, automatic emergency stop, collision avoidance steering, door opening warning and parking assist in narrow spaces. The car also has PARKTRONIC, 360-degree camera, ATTENTION ASSIST and active protection system for pedestrians.

The Digital Extras package includes a 5G connection module, MBUX Entertainment for 3 years, Remote Services and a standard service package for electric vehicles, allowing remote vehicle status viewing, maintenance management, battery power optimization, OTA software updates, facial recognition and digital key use.

Selling price

With a price of 1.59 billion VND, the CLA 200 electric is the lowest priced model in the newly announced MBV electrified car group, and is the only pure electric option of the launch. Notable features include an 800V battery with 200 kW DC charging, a maximum range of 542 km according to WLTP, a separate screen for the passenger and a 101 liter front trunk.
