VNG Cloud, a cloud infrastructure solution provider under VNG Digital Business, has just officially launched Vietnam's first multi-region cloud computing infrastructure in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

With a dedicated bandwidth speed of up to 50Gbps, this infrastructure allows for quick backup and comparison of data, minimizing data latency between the North and South regions, making the end user experience seamless and smooth.

Inter-regional cloud infrastructure also helps optimize costs, ensure connectivity, data availability for the system and improve data security nationwide.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Nhan, VNG Cloud Technology Director, this model is popular in the world, but in Vietnam, ensuring bandwidth, processing and synchronizing multi-region data is a difficult problem.

"The formation of inter-regional cloud computing infrastructure is the basis for businesses in two regions with developed digital economies to access abundant computing resources, advanced cloud storage services, with little risk, helping them quickly transform digitally and develop multi-regional businesses", Mr. Nhan said.

In recent years, the cloud computing and digital transformation market is growing strongly. According to a McKinsey report, the growth driver comes from the fact that large businesses are ready to move 60% of their working environments to cloud computing by 2025.

Mr. Nhan predicted that by 2025-2026, the cloud computing market will continue to grow because businesses using international Cloud platforms will tend to move to domestic Cloud platforms. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for domestic businesses as the increasing demand for Cloud means the pressure on digital infrastructure will become increasingly greater.
