According to About iOS 27 Updates, on supported devices (

iPhone 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 and above), version 27.2 includes:

• Remember context from previous interactions (for example, ask again about the restaurant Siri suggested).
• Added sources: photos in Messages, Calendar attendees, voicemail, Safari history and Reading List better.
• Excluded Apps — choose which apps Siri/Search/suggestions access.
• Select/copy each part of Siri's answer.
• Added languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish. Not available in EU and mainland China.

Apple Newsroom confirmed

Vietnamese, Chinese (traditional), Norwegian and Turkish will have Siri AI

before the end of 2026— no date or version number yet. Apple Intelligence listed Vietnamese, but

Siri AI Vietnamese is not yet open on 27.2. If you want to try it soon, you must change the device/Siri language to English or one of five new languages.

Suggestions in Messages return

The feature was included in the iOS 27 beta and then withdrawn before launch. On 27.2, Messages put the button as fast as adding

Calendar,

Reminders, Notes, Maps, flight/package tracking. 9to5Mac commented suggesting

less noise, more contextualbeta version; Adjust at Settings → Apps → Messages → Suggested Actions.

Security: reason for early update

MacRumors notes that iOS 27.2 fixes more than 160 vulnerabilities, including Apple Intelligence vulnerabilities (remote attacks can read sensitive data), Hide My Email exposes real emails, more than 30 WebKit patches and about 15 kernel errors. The Calif team (jailbreak Duo on sale) is credited on several CVEs; Stefan Esser says most of their jailbreak vulnerabilities have been patched. Apple

doesn't state the actual vulnerability being exploited, but the large number of patches makes the press advise to come up early if there's space left.

What do users and the press say?

**Praise:**Suggestions in Messages are called favorites by 9to5Mac. Some MacRumors Forums users say Siri is faster (timer about 2 seconds). French users on X are excited about French AI Siri. There is a comment Safari feels snappier. The press emphasized that the Duo + iPhone update line is often combined and has major security patches.

Criticism/complaint:

• Very heavy OTA: MacRumors comments 16.54 GB on 17 Pro Max; forum about 20–24 GB on Duo/18 Pro Max; X has a reported 18–19 GB. The number about 12.35 GB on the update screen of many devices in the community range is complaining.
• Battery and indexing: after loading the device, run Optimizing Search and Siri; Forums/Reddit recorded battery draining quickly during this period (user Duo: draining quicker, expected with indexing). The previous beta also reported poor battery on the 17/18 Pro.
• The black and white Apple Music icon was criticized as soulless on MacRumors and X.
• Siri AI is still picky about region: Australian user said to set Region = US; EU/mainland China is not yet available according to Apple.
• Odd bug: Bluetooth/volume icon (collected Vietnamese YouTube comments); some FPS when gaming. Account
• Summary of Vietnamese comments (opportunitymarket.org): about 43% say there are still bugs, 19% complain about battery/capacity, some are hesitant about upgrading.

**Hidden / less prominent in the short note on Settings: **Multiview iPhone, Dual Capture group FaceTime, Call Context reminder when calling, small adjustment of Clock, ATT prompt expanded for some EU countries, automation Shortcuts when opening/closing Duo.

Should I update now?

Should be early if you care about security, have enough space on your device (OTA can be more than 12 GB), want new Suggestions/Shared Albums, or use Duo (Pencil/Edge Light).

Can waitif the device is almost full; just waiting for Siri AI in Vietnamese (not available on February 27); battery sensitive (1–2 days of indexing preparation, should be plugged in overnight); or depends on jailbreak/tool ​​that doesn't support 27.2 yet.

How to upgrade: Settings → General settings → Software update. Turn off beta profile if you are using it. Backup before updating.

Conclude

iOS 27.2 is more practical than life-changing: Siri AI remembers old stories, Messages suggests one touch, Photos/Podcasts/TV/FaceTime is polished, and huge security patches. Minus points for Vietnamese people: Siri AI in Vietnamese still has to wait (Apple promises before the end of the year), heavy OTA, plus some battery/bug complaints after release date. If the device has free space and does not depend on a third-party tool, it should be updated; Just waiting for Vietnamese, then we can wait for the next round.
